Terra has assisted groups in Vancouver, North Vancouver, Richmond, Langley and Prince George to develop more than 190 new shelter beds. While the transition from shelter to housing can be challenging, it is important to assist shelter clients who are able to and wish to move to secure, stable housing. Terra has worked on several recent projects which contain both a shelter component and a second-stage housing component, where residents have access to the support services they need. This has resulted in 387 new transitional housing units, with an additional 106 units currently under development.
